This classic Grecian style urn is made using three different woods. The light colored upright staves are from Modesto Ash. The dark colored staves are black walnut. The ring around the neck and bottom of the urn is black walnut and the top most and bottom most rings are segmented black acacia. The urn was was hollowed using a homemade laser guided wood lathe tool which helps to determine the wall thickness while turning the urn. It is not meant to hold liquids, but may be used for dried or silk flower arrangements or just to be displayed as part of a room's décor.
