| Natural Edge Bowls |
| A "Natural Edge" bowl is one that retains the shape of the outside of the log from which it was made. This shape is seen on the rim of the bowl. Some bowls made this way have a very beautiful shape. Some have wonderful contrasting colors where the "sap wood" rims the bowl and the "heart wood" colors the bottom and side of the bowl.
Most natural edge bowls can be used for food serving. Some are made retaining the bark of the tree, these are decorative but can be used for wrapped candies or nuts. Please click on an image for an enlarged photo and description. |
